The Order of Vittorio Veneto is an Italian honorary and chivalric institution established in 1968; although not formally repealed, it is effectively dormant as since 2008 there are no living persons awarded or eligible to be awarded it.
In fact, it was intended for all veterans of the First World War who were still alive on 1 January 1968.
The Order was established on the fiftieth anniversary of the Italian victory in the First World War in order to "express the gratitude of the Nation" to all Italian soldiers who, having fought during the First World War, or in previous wars, had been awarded the War Merit Cross or had found themselves in the conditions to be able to be awarded it.
Medal in excellent condition and complete with its ribbon.
