This is an Indian in a canoe made of celluloid, produced in Occupied Japan and therefore dating back to the period 1945 - 1951.
The arms and head are jointed and connected to the body by a cord, and move freely, this was used to create the effect of movement while making it sail through the water.
The condition is excellent for a vintage toy.
