US Army M1 helmet from World War II, the peculiarity of the helmet is the painted Blue Stripe, most likely it determined the soldier's belonging to a Landing Unit.
Movable hooks and front rim still, from the internal production code it appears to have been produced in the summer of 1944.
The helmet is also featured in the volume ''M1 Helmets of WWII'' by Maximiano and Spivey.
