A beret of the 8th Montebello Lancers, a rare piece in this variant. It is, in fact, a British-made beret (in fact, the Kangol company produced berets for all Commonwealth troops during World War II) dating back to the late 1940s or early 1950s. During the early postwar years, the Italian Army purchased various items from the US and UK, such as this beret.
The beret features the brass insignia of the 8th Montebello Lancers, and the three-pointed green flames made of Vibram have been added (easily removable via rear pins).
